In my sound work, I strive to create soundscapes of dark atmospheric tones of feedback with small melodic motifs. This is to create a mood that resembles the state of trance and summon often subtle feelings of melancholy to the surface to be sympathetically released. Lyrics are almost never incorporated and the instrumentation is generally minimal. Far removed from the main stream, this work tempts the shadowy boundary between music and sound art. Were it to be categorized, it might be appropriate to classify it as Experimental, Drone, Doom, Metal, Dark Ambient, Avant-Garde. Though some of it certainly branches out into genres beyond these.
